    Job Description

    Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).     Responsiblities

     

    The Integrated Work Control Division is seeking to hire a Principal Work Planner to serve as a Work Window Coordinator (WWC) to facilitate the development of the integrated schedules at the PULSE facility within the NNSS. The WWC accomplishes this by working with a scheduler through the T-week scheduling and execution process. Through this process the WWC ensures that the executing organizations are ready to accomplish their activities during the execution week by engaging and challenging each organization, ensuring their Activity Level Work Documents are ready, resources are accounted for, and the facility is ready to receive the work. The WWC will assist in the resolution of obstacles and drive the schedule during execution week and will act as the point of contact for any schedule changes during the coordinated execution week.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Develop and maintain the PULSE integrated and baseline schedules, ensuring PM consistency and, approve and communicate emergent work and schedule changes.

    + Represent a single point of contact during execution work week to quickly resolve delays with priority work items.

    + Communicate priority work with PMs, FMs, site leadership, and planning management to ensure alignment of priorities across array of project work.

    + Facilitate meetings to identify and correct conflicts with dates and locations with supervisors and superintendents as determined by the WMC Manager.

    + Assign and track action items as issues are identified during meetings and investigations concerning work management.

    + Ensure executing work group resources are fully scheduled before the T4 and delivery of Activity Level Work Documents.

    + Ensure work packages identified as higher priority work have appropriate scheduled completion dates established.

    + Prior to the “Lock-In” meeting, perform prevention/detection risk management assessments.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 8 years of professional level experience or equivalent training and experience

    + Experience working with requirements-based systems in areas such as facility operations, maintenance, and/or radiological.

    + Knowledge and experience with DOE “T Week” schedule process is highly desired.

    + Knowledge of Primavera scheduling is highly desired.

    + Prior experience working in IBM Maximo is highly desired.

    + PMP Certification is highly desired.

    + The primary work location will be at in the forward areas Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).

    + Regular attendance on site within the reporting location

    + Work schedule for this position will be 4/10’s, Monday – Thursday (subject to change).

    + Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.

    + Must possess a valid driver’s license.

     

    MSTS is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants offered employment with MSTS are also subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance. Substance abuse or illegal drug use, falsification of information, criminal activity, serious misconduct or other indicators of untrustworthiness can cause a clearance to be denied or terminated by DOE, resulting in the inability to perform the duties assigned and subsequent termination of employment. In addition, Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship, at least 18 years of age. If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.

     

    **Department of Energy Q Clearance** (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4 (http://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?SID=14b1c770db022992d237769fbe9fc519&mc=true&node=se10.4.707\_14&rgn=div8) , “Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites,” will be conducted. Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, required to participate in subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required.     Annual salary range for this position is: **$99,790.57- $152,180.63.**

     

    Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
