The Property Broking, West Cross Industry Broking Leader, plays a critical role in providing local leadership, direction, and support to the West team, ensuring value-driven client solutions while collaborating closely with national property leadership.
The Role
+ Execute the strategic direction of the Industry Verticals broking business within the Property space
+ Execute key broking initiatives across all verticals
+ Collaborate with leadership to develop client strategies that deepen, broaden, and build profitable relationships with key buyers
+ Maintain a visible position in the market, cultivate key relationships and create a talent pipeline for property broking, while providing local market oversight and coordination of pipeline management, event coordination, training, and product line escalation
+ Maintain senior executive-level relationships at insurers to effectively escalate broking and claims issues and achieve favorable outcomes and resolutions
+ Maintain alignment with North America CRB and Broking core business objectives including adherence to Engagement 365
+ Ensure compliance with all E&O mitigation strategies
+ Assist Producers and lead sales efforts including participating in high profile RFPs
+ Influence review of renewal business for adequacy of coverage and competitive rates
+ Coordinate with the local offices, Regional Partners, and Managing Partners to ensure alignment between broking and production strategies
+ Recruit, motivate and mentor team members; ensure local succession planning is in place
+ Ensure broking best practice is applied consistently
+ Design facilities, panels, and technology solutions in collaboration with local Broking leadership
+ Help to deliver financial targets
+ Ensure that all Associates are adequately trained and competent to enable them to be successful in putting the interests of clients and the integrity of the market at the heart of the way they do business
+ A focus on mentorship, team-building, succession planning, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture.
Qualifications
The Requirements
+ Licenses as required by state law
+ Minimum 10 years of experience in the P&C insurance brokerage sector
+ Experience in design, implementation, and delivery of property insurance programs for large and middle-market clients utilizing various structures: Shared and Layered, Quota Share, Single Carrier, Captive, International Fronted, Reinsurance, etc.
+ Extensive knowledge of the Global Property insurance market
+ Ability to understand client and technical issues and capability to solve
+ Exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skills
+ Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of developing people
+ Proven ability to design and execute strategies – able to use inclusive and collaborative styles to manage ambiguity and gain agreement
+ Ability to function as an ambassador for the property practice and the company
+ High levels of business and financial acumen with an ability to drive the North America Broking and Company strategies
+ BA/BS degree preferred
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements for various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role base on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual qualifications, education/profession certifications, experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $237,500-$375,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
