    The** **Associate Director, Patient Advocacy Optimization** **, reports to the Global Head of Patient Advocacy, Global Medical Affairs Oncology, and will be responsible at a portfolio level for ensuring advocacy insights are systematically captured and available to leverage as a resource within Global Medical Affairs.

     

    This role is responsible for enhancing the operational effectiveness of the Global Patient Advocacy team by developing and implementing systems to capture, organize, and communicate advocacy insights and impact metrics across the oncology portfolio.

     

    The role will collaborate closely with Directors of Patient Advocacy (Solid Tumor and Hematology), as well as cross-functional partners, to ensure insights from congresses, advisory boards, and external engagements are systematically captured and leveraged.

     

    The Associate Director will also drive innovation by identifying and integrating technologies and methodologies that enhance the team’s ability to demonstrate value and impact. This role will partner closely with the Director of Medical Excellence, Digital Strategy to advise the Global Patient Advocacy team on opportunities to adopt new technologies and drive innovation.

     

    In addition, this role will partner closely with the Directors of Patient Advocacy to plan and prepare for the patient advocacy related launch planning and execution, including major congress engagements.

    The following responsibilities will be demonstrated in the execution of this leadership role:

    • Identify and implement scalable solutions to optimize insight capture and dissemination, as well as metric reporting across the Global Patient Advocacy team.

    • Lead the identification, development, and implementation of system enhancements and innovative solutions that support the operational effectiveness of the Global Patient Advocacy team.

    • Serve as a subject matter expert on optimization tools and technologies, providing strategic guidance and delivering training to enable effective adoption across the Global Patient Advocacy team.

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure advocacy insights inform medical strategy and improve patient outcomes.

    • Partner with the Director of Medical Excellence, Digital Strategy, to evaluate and adopt innovative tools and platforms.

    • Lead the development of best practices and knowledge-sharing frameworks to support global and regional advocacy initiatives.

    • Support strategic planning and execution for key congresses to strengthen stakeholder engagement and amplify evidence.

    • Work closely with the Directors of Patient Advocacy to coordinate the patient advocacy related launch activity planning and execution, as well as the congress planning for major congresses.

    Education and Experience:

    A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; advanced degrees (MBA, MPH, PharmD, or PhD) are highly desirable.

    3 years of experience in Oncology therapeutic area is required. Launch experience for an Oncology asset is strongly preferred.

     

    Onsite presence at our office in Raritan, NJ is required 3x per week.

     

    A minimum of 3 years of clinical research and development experience within the industry (pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, etc) is required.

     

    Proven experience in insights gathering through one-on-one engagements, advisory boards, and multi-method approaches, alongside the generation of patient experience data via surveys and patient preference studies.

     

    Demonstrated ability to Organize and Optimize data to enhance the accessibility of ability to leverage external insights

     

    Ability to work cross functionally, to understand how existing systems and methodologies could be leveraged within the Global Medical Affairs Patient Advocacy team

     

    Ability and enthusiasm to partner with the Global Medical Excellence team to adopt innovative solutions is required

     

    Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills are required.

     

    The individual must have demonstrated ability to thrive in a teamwork-oriented environment and effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

     

    Proven ability to influence, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

     

    Demonstrated learning agility and a solutions-oriented mentality, with the capability to work independently, effectively problem-solve, and respond promptly to urgent situation

     

    The expected base pay range for this position is $137,000. - $235,750. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

     

    Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.

     

    Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

     

    This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.

    Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

    Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

     

    Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

     

    Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

     

    Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

     

    Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

     

    Condolence Leave – 30 days for an immediate family member: 5 days for an extended family member

     

    Caregiver Leave – 10 days

     

    Volunteer Leave – 4 days

     

    Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours
