    We are looking for a Innovation and Procurement Assistant interested in starting a career with a top-ranked and growing snack company, and to be part of our R&D team at PIM’s Park Ridge site in New Jersey.

     

    Overview:PIM Brands is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Innovation and Procurement Assistant to support our R&D and procurement teams. This role plays a key part in sourcing innovative ingredients, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with food safety and packaging regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    R&D and Quality Support

     

    + Research and identify new innovative ingredients.

    + Assist in testing product concepts and facility audit assessments.

    + Collaborate with R&D and quality teams to support development initiatives.

     

    Procurement Support

     

    + Help source raw materials and maintain supplier records.

    + Coordinate with suppliers to confirm orders and resolve delivery issues.

     

    Supplier Coordination

     

    + Communicate with suppliers regarding availability, specifications, and timelines.

    + Support onboarding of new suppliers by collecting documentation and samples.

    + Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues as needed.

     

    Documentation & Compliance

     

    + Ensure procurement documentation is complete and properly filed.

    + Support compliance with food safety and packaging regulations.

    + Assist in audit preparation and quality documentation.

     

    Data & Reporting

     

    + Maintain procurement databases and spreadsheets.

    + Conduct cost comparisons and market research to support sourcing decisions.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing or related field required

    + 1–2 years of experience in procurement or administrative support (food industry preferred).

    + Strong organizational and communication skills.

    + Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).

    + High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
