UPMC Western Maryland is seeking a full-time PACS Administrator, Advanced to support the Diagnostic Imaging department!
Under the direction of the director, the PACS Administrator II is accountable for the same aspects as the PACS Administrator I. In addition, they will also be responsible for the following: Plan, coordinate and implement image archival process for non-radiology services.
This full-time role will require working Monday through Friday with rotational on-call requirements
Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for direct reports and/or managing multiple facilities.
+ Meets all responsibilities of a PACS Administrator I.
+ Maintain data/rules for DICOM sources, Export list, Overlays and exam code dictionary.
+ Provide remote and/or in person support for Read@Home attending radiologists.
+ Responsible for assistance with research projects.
+ Perform annual budgeting for local imaging hardware/software and licensing maintenance or renewal. Also plan budget for new initiatives.
+ May be responsible for departments or divisions outside of imaging.
+ Bachelor's degree in health, Information Systems, or related field is preferred.
+ 6 years of Radiology experience, including 2 years as a PACS Administrator is required.
+ Broad knowledge in radiology with thorough knowledge of radiology information systems is required.
+ Additional knowledge:
+ Deep understanding of Radiology operations and workflow knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and associated tools.
+ DICOM functionality, troubleshooting skills and integration techniques.
+ HL7 functionality, standards, troubleshooting skills and integration techniques.
+ Knowledge of general networking principles, Dictation Systems and integration techniques, Web Browsers and MicroSoft Office suite.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ Active certification and registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARDMS.
+ A second certification is strongly preferred, relevant to information systems or imaging. For example, an IT certification, a second modality or CIIP.
+ CPR or BLS required.
+ Act 33, 34, 74 may be required.
+ ARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
