UPMC Shadyside is hiring a Flex Full-Time Invasive Cardiac Tech to support our Electrophysiology Procedural Lab. In this role, you'll work 28-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7 AM-5 PM, and enjoy the flexibility and balance you deserve. As part of a skilled, high-performing team, you'll assist physicians with complex cardiac procedures while rotating through three essential lab roles- scrubbing, charting, and circulating- to deliver exceptional patient care. Why You'll Love It Here + Monday-Friday daylight schedule - no weekends, holidays, or call + Work alongside expert physicians and a collaborative EP lab team + Play a hands-on role in life-saving cardiac procedures + Experience flexibility with a 28-40 hour workweek What You'll Do + Maintain point-of-care testing standards and perform daily quality control for procedural devices + Position patients properly and use appropriate radiographic techniques for diagnostic and interventional procedures + Ensure proper patient preparation, equipment operation, and monitoring throughout procedures + Support other departments as assigned while maintaining the highest standards of safety and care + Practice strict radiation safety for patients and staff, including proper use of lead shielding and monitoring devices + Document patient radiation exposure in the electronic record + Prepare patients for procedures, scrub and circulate using sterile technique, assist physicians directly, and record procedural details + Monitor staff and physician lead use through the electronic lead tracking system + Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology (RT-R) or Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist (RCIS).Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: + ARRT Certificate OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist required. + CPR certification is required. + ACLS certification is desired upon hire. Successful completion of ACLS certification required within orientation period.
