ABOUT THE ROLE
The Screed Operator is responsible for the operation of the screed, which is on the rear of the paving machine. The operator is responsible for setting the depth and width of the asphalt as it is laid by the paving machine.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
+ Has responsibility for setting the depth and width of the asphalt. It is a critical part of the road building process, as the depth must be exact to the specifications.
+ Shovels asphalt into holes in the surface and/or areas where the paving machine cannot access.
+ Provides excellent internal customer service. Exceeds internal customers’ expectations of services.
+ Follows all safety, compliance and environmental requirements in alignment with company standards.
+ Performs related work as assigned
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
+ Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Requirement Experience: Two years related experience on an asphalt crew
+ Additional Requirements:
+ Manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, good physical fitness, a good sense of balance, and an ability to work as a member of a team.
Additional Requirements:
+ Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
