Job Summary:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and well-being of all personnel, and visitors at corporate (NWA) premises. The incumbent protects J.B. Hunt's corporate assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues. The incumbent will act as a team lead to junior security personnel by ensuring standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed, coordinating shift support and tasks, and responding to escalated calls, inquiries, and other incidents.

+ 6AM-6PM Thursday- Saturday and every other Wednesday
Key Responsibilities:
+ Act as a team lead of junior security personnel assigned to their respective shift, function, and/or facility; assist manager in reviewing staffing levels to maintain full coverage of posts, prioritizing and coordinate daily operations/tasks, and ensuring key information is communicated to team members
+ Train, mentor, coach, and onboard junior security personnel with an emphasis on industry standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and company policies
+ Professionally interact with guests and employees while addressing escalated and/or complex complaints and resolving problems; develop and maintain a professional departmental, company, and community reputation
+ Ensure that SOPs are followed by all Campus Security Officers and report performance concerns to management; audit logs/reports created by junior team members to ensure that incidents are properly documented, passed on, and resolved
+ Guide J.B. Hunt responses to emergency incidents; work in conjunction with and assist civil first responders including federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies and other emergency service providers
+ Provide advanced and/or strategic responses to emergency events to administer medical attention (CPR, First Aid, behavioral situations, care to critical patients), mitigate threats, enlist additional resources as needed, and ensure the overall well-being of impacted parties
+ Guide security measures and assistance to employees and visitors within the assigned campus when incidents occur; ensure the assigned campus is adhering to security protocols, evaluate further risks, and provide ongoing status reports to the manager
+ Attend and satisfactorily complete required training to remain up-to-date on best practices, tactics, and regulations; present key takeaways to Security personnel
+ Develop and implement protocols, training, and security programs with the manager's approval, including implementing special directives/projects for strategic emergency response plans and business continuity
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED AND at least 2 years of experience in security, emergency services, military service, loss prevention, customer service, business administration, or related field OR Associate’s degree in a related field and at least 1 year of related experience
AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences:
+ EMR Certification
+ Ability to prepare detailed written reports and fill out forms with accuracy
+ Ability to maintain a regular, consistent work record
+ Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record as per J.B. Hunt standards
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in security, military, and/or law enforcement
+ Associate's Degree in a related field AND at least 2 years of security-related experience and/or training
+ Willingness to learn and utilize security technology both current and evolving.
+ Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations
+ Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the position
+ May be required to climb up to six flights of stairs to assist employees during an emergency event
+ May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 lbs.
+ Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday
+ Able and willing to drive corporate vehicles during the course of their duties
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
+ Ability to remain objective
+ Ability to work both individually and as a team
+ Experience working in a fast-paced environment
+ Ability to manage competing priorities
+ Knowledge of techniques and technologies to ensure premise security
+ Willingness to work night shifts
+ Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret information
+ Ability to maintain professionalism while dealing with difficult individuals
+ Knowledge of employee safety procedures and programs
+ Ability to make independent time-sensitive decisions
+ Ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations
+ Ability to process limited amounts of detailed information with good accuracy
+ Willingness to work night shifts and/or weekends

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
