    Job Summary:

    Under general direction, this position is responsible for providing oversight to a team of hourly and salaried non-exempt individual contributors. This individual will lead them with all aspects of their security duties to ensure protection of J.B. Hunts' personnel, property and equipment. This individual will manage multiple small and medium-scale projects that are routine in nature. The position requires experience in the security function and potential or direct management of a team.

    Job Description:

    Schedule:

    + 6pm - 6am Thursday - Saturday, and every other Wednesday

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Oversee operations of a group within the Security function

    + May maintain schedule of Mother’s Rooms within facilities

    + May prepare and conduct briefings on the effectiveness of espionage prevention and recommend improvements on security technology and processes

    + May conduct counter-intelligence damage assessments; advise on counter-intelligence operations

    + May serve as an official company representative to assist the activities of local law enforcement personnel assigned to investigate a case

    + Manage performance of assigned staff by monitoring key performance indicators that lead to excellent customer service and follow all security standards

    + Provide training and mentorship to security staff including, but not limited to, cross training of staff to fill in alternative positions, on-the-job training for security guard monitoring and/or protection responsibilities

    + Continuously evaluate, identify and support opportunities to drive process improvements that will increase effectiveness of the team’s responsibilities

    + Oversee the management of security staff including recruiting, hiring, coaching, mentoring and training; handle escalated issues/concerns that arise from staff

    + Respond to any emergency event(s) that occurs at a J.B. Hunt facility and/or property

    + Ensure ethical, legal and regulatory compliance in all aspects of case management

    + Evaluate security incidents raised and determine and/or issue corrective actions if needed

    + Recommend, install and/or implement new security technologies, equipment and systems

    + Assist with developing and enforcing security procedures and regulations

    + Build, maintain, and manage a best-in-class Security Operations Center (SOC) including staffing, security systems, as well as defining and implementing best practice standard operating procedures

    + Assist with investigations of internal and external incidents involving all unlawful activity, thefts of property, criminal acts, etc., that could result in a loss of funds, property or prestige to the organization

    + Act as a liaison to all departments on security measures, incidents, procedures, and needs

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualification:

    + Bachelor's degree; 4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and 2 years of management experience.

    Preferred Qualification:

    + Ability to work both individually and as a team Computer Skills in Microsoft applications

    + Experience as an investigator

    + Experience in corporate security

    + Experience in law enforcement

    + Experience in the transportation industry

    + Experience managing/supervising a team

    + Experience working in a fast-paced environment Interest in learning new technologies/software applications

    + Knowledge of best practices related to security operations center (SOC)

    + Knowledge of security technology Knowledge of various Access/Intrusion Control Systems.

    Compensation:

    Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
