Job Description
The Senior Director Internal Communications is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing a compelling internal communications strategy that informs, aligns, and inspires employees across the enterprise. This role plays a critical part in elevating the company’s brand reputation from the inside out—through campaign-driven engagement, authentic leadership storytelling, and modern, channel-optimized content. As a trusted advisor to executive leadership, this role leads enterprise-wide communications that connect employees to the company’s purpose, values and business priorities. The role also owns the narrative and execution of senior leadership meetings and town halls, ensuring every engagement is purposeful, story-led, and aligned with the company’s strategic direction.
Responsibilities
+ Manage and mentor high-performing teams of internal communications professionals, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous development
+ Develop and lead “win from within” campaigns that activate employees as brand ambassadors, foster pride and connection, and reinforce key cultural and business priorities
+ Partner with senior leaders to craft compelling internal messages, including CEO updates, strategic narratives, and leadership content that is authentic, human, and aligned
+ Lead communications planning and execution of senior leadership team meetings and enterprise town halls—developing narrative threads, guiding executive presentations, and ensuring a cohesive, story-first experience
+ Evolve internal content to be more dynamic, digital-first, and employee-centric; ensure delivery through the most meaningful and effective channels for today’s workforce
+ Lead communications for major organizational changes, ensuring clarity, transparency, and alignment across all levels of the organization
+ Design and implement an enterprise-wide internal communications strategy that supports business goals, enhances employee engagement, and strengthens internal brand reputation
+ Influence and collaborate with HR, Marketing, Legal, Finance and other departments to ensure communications are timely, accurate, and aligned with broader organizational efforts
+ Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, providing insights on employee sentiment and communication best practices
+ Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelors degree in business, communications or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High school diploma or GED required
+ 10 years of work experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related field
+ 7 years of leadership/people management experience
Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
+ Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong editorial point of view
+ Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders
+ Demonstrated ability to innovate and modernize organizational communications
Preferred Qualifications
+ Proven experience leading communications for large-scale change and enterprise-wide campaigns
+ Experience developing leadership content and managing executive communications

Potential pay for this position ranges from $143,000.00 - $243,000.00 based on experience and skills.
