Job Overview
Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team that will flex to various clinics including Vadnais Heights, Stillwater and the North East Region. This is a .8 FTE (64 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work on the day/evening shift and 1 weekend per month.
The Flex Radiologic Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging in multiple ambulatory settings and locations. Responsible for providing quality age-appropriate patient care for patients according to established standards of practice and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The flex radiologic technologist supports all imaging procedures, surgical cases, fluoroscopy studies, portable x-ray, and general x-ray performed in the ambulatory care setting. Provides assist in the opening of the supplies/equipment for surgical and special procedure cases as well as responding to codes, trauma activations and other emergent needs for imaging in an ambulatory care environment. This position will consistently work in multiple locations, based on service coverage needs.
Responsibilities
+ Maintains patient care standards
+ Accurately performs diagnostic exams and procedures
+ Identifies relevant data from images accurately.
+ Communicates pertinent data clearly to appropriate health care professionals
+ Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
+ Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
+ Verify patient identification and documentation
+ Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of service
+ Completes quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.
+ Ensures patient data integrity
+ Accurately maintains and updates patient records including; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner
+ Performs accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving
+ Participates as an active team member
+ Orients and mentors new employees and students
+ Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
+ Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position
Required Qualifications
+ Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
+ ARRT Certification/Registration
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) before date of hire
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelors Degree
+ 3 years experience as a technologist in a hospital setting
+ Advanced Imaging modality certification
