Job Overview
**Fairview Health Services is seeking a Neurologist to join our practice in Maplewood, MN** . Responsible for providing care to patients at designated sites and facilities as assigned. Examines patients and creates appropriate care plan such as making prior diagnosis, treatment plan, and recovery. Requests necessary tests, and follow-up visits, and consults with specialists, as necessary. Provides consultations for requesting physicians and services on a timely basis. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Responsibilities
+ Examines patients, formulates differential diagnostic plans, defines and orders required diagnostic testing. Provides preventative, chronic disease, and acute care depending on the need of the site. Ensures proper diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Prescribes medications and provides advice regarding personal health.
+ Interprets examination findings and test results, and implements treatment plans. Consults with medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary.
+ Completes medical record and electronic order management (via inbasket); and completes cross coverage depending on site needs. Follows organization policies and procedures and protocols
+ Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
+ Participates in utilization and quality tools and activities that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes or workflows.
+ Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
+ Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.
+ Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned
Required Qualifications
+ Doctor of Medicine or
+ Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
+ Graduate of an accredited Neurology residency training program
+ Board Certified or Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association
+ Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure
+ Ability to obtain and / or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
+ Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.

Compensation Disclaimer
The posted pay range is for 1.0 FTE. The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Positions with the same min/max are flat rate jobs based on a 1.0 FTE schedule. Compensation plans based on production can allow for higher pay than the range posted.
