The Maintenance Technician works both independently and as part of a team to perform preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks on facility equipment and infrastructure.
Core Responsibilities and Tasks
+ Collects and assists with documenting repair details.
+ Prepares and sets up equipment for production following repairs; assists and instructs others as needed.
+ Communicates clearly with outside vendors.
+ Utilizes instruction manuals, mechanical drawings, and schematics to perform tasks.
+ Troubleshoots and determines appropriate actions for facility support equipment repair; engages external contractors when necessary.
+ Provides technical support to ensure equipment is always ready for operation.
+ Performs preventive maintenance and system calibration to maintain safety and maximize equipment uptime.
+ Maintains plant equipment using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, measuring/testing instruments, specialty tools, and equipment as required.
+ Actively participates and contributes to a collaborative team environment.
+ Documents all corrective and preventive maintenance activities in the company’s computer system.
+ Maintains a clean and safe work area and adheres to 5S standards.
+ Ensures safe passage into parking lots and buildings through snow/ice removal and application of de-icing products (site specific).
+ Contributes to division goals and overall performance.
+ Provides excellent service to both internal and external customers by addressing their needs and expectations.
Position Requirements
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ 2–4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience or related training.
+ Knowledge and demonstrated ability in maintenance practices and methods for mechanical and electrical equipment repair.
+ Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a team and with outside vendors.
+ Ability to interpret and work from equipment manuals, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
+ Comprehension of written and verbal instructions.
+ Valid certifications and ability to operate mobile equipment, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and other related machinery.
+ Proficiency in computer use for documentation and maintenance records.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
The estimated pay range for this position is $27-28. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
