We are looking for a machinist to join our team at AMETEK Process & Analytical Instruments.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

+ Enrolled or completed machinist apprenticeship program or 2 years of work experience.

+ Good working knowledge of common machining practices is required to insure safe and efficient machine operation.

+ Ability to read formal and informal drawings and to manufacture all parts to the tolerances specified.

+ Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

+ Requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Job Description:

+ Program, set-up, and operation of all machines including, but not limited to: CNC machining centers, CNC turning centers, engine lathes, turret lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and saws.

+ All routine maintenance is to be performed by the machinist to insure safe and proper operation of the equipment.

+ Occasionally duties may vary from the above as deemed necessary by business conditions

+ Operate CNC mills, lathes, and saws efficiently and safely

+ Operate manual milling machines, lathes, drill presses, saws, and general machine shop equipment efficiently and safely

+ Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment

+ Read and interpret blueprints and comprehend work orders

+ Clean modern shop

+ Daylight postilion

Compensation

Employee Type: Hourly

Salary Minimum: $45,000

Salary Maximum: $60,000
