    Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has a part-time or full-time position in our Surgery Department for an Administrative Assistant.

    Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:

    + The Administrative Assistant performs diverse secretarial and support duties, including scheduling of daily activities, maintains an accurate and efficient surgery schedule, retention and organization of documentation and follow-up function for surgery and anesthesia.

    + Works closely with nursing staff to coordinate surgeries, outpatient procedures and clinic appointments.

    + Monday - Friday, no holidays or weekends.

    + Typical hours are 8:00am – 4:00pm with alternating Fridays from 11:00am-3:00pm.

    + 24 - 35 hours per week. Flexible based on candidates availability.

    Administrative Assistant Requirements:

    + 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

    + Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.

    + Experience with word processing and good typing skills (40 or more wpm)

    + Good verbal and written communication skills with a thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and composition.

    + Mandatory Reporter training certificate a plus; certification is required as an employee.

Floyd Valley Healthcare has had a rich history of serving the healthcare needs of people in Le Mars, Iowa and the surrounding communities. Today Floyd Valley includes the hospital, family medicine clinics in Le Mars, Marcus and Remsen and public health. We serve people in their homes through home health and home medical services.
