    Facilities Maintenance Technician

    **Location:** Queenstown, MD (Eastern Shore)

    **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

    **Type:** Contract-to-Hire

     

    About the Role

     

    We’re looking for a hands-on **Facilities Maintenance Technician** to join our team supporting operations across the Eastern Shore. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping equipment running at peak performance, enjoys problem-solving, and values working in a professional, team-oriented environment.

     

    You’ll perform a mix of preventative and corrective maintenance on a wide range of facility systems—including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC—to ensure reliable operation and a safe working environment. Candidates located **on the Eastern Shore side of the Bay Bridge** are strongly preferred due to the on-call rotation and daily site needs.

    What You’ll Do

    + Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire/life safety systems.

    + Monitor building control systems, adjust settings, and record readings to maintain peak efficiency.

    + Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime.

    + Support preventative maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce failures.

    + Coordinate and oversee contractor work to ensure safety, quality, and budget alignment.

    + Maintain accurate maintenance records, parts inventory, and tool tracking.

    + Uphold safety standards, proper handling of materials, and OSHA compliance at all times.

    + Respond to emergency maintenance calls as part of the on-call rotation.

    What We’re Looking For

    + High School Diploma or equivalent.

    + 0–2 years of relevant experience in building, facility, or industrial maintenance.

    + Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

    + Proven ability to analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently.

    + Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic maintenance reporting tools.

    + Strong communication skills, reliability, and attention to detail.

    + **EPA 608 Type II Certification required.**

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + **EPA 608 Universal Certification**

    + Two years of trade school or technical training in HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical systems.

    **Pay Details:** $30.00 per hour
