Key Responsibilities

+ Prepare the operatory with the necessary instruments and materials for scheduled dental procedures.

+ Assist the dentist during treatment by providing instruments, materials, retraction, or suction as needed.

+ Sterilize dental instruments and disinfect the operatory between patient visits.

+ Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate records.

+ Perform laboratory tasks, including mixing impression material for dentures, and assist with prosthetic dentistry procedures.

+ Develop and mount routine radiographs to aid in dental assessments and treatment planning.

+ Maintain and update dental charts and records, documenting findings accurately.

+ Follow security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled substances, ensuring a safe environment.

+ Participate in disaster drills and adhere to YesCare’s safety and security policies.

+ Adhere to Universal Precautions and infection control practices to ensure patient and staff safety.

+ Inventory and order dental supplies to maintain proper stock levels for continuous operation.

Key Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent required.

+ Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred.

+ Current CPR certification required.

+ Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.

+ Must pass a background check, security clearance, and drug screening.
