Summary:
Meta Robotics Studio is seeking a Hardware Systems Mechanical Engineer who will design, develop, and support hardware systems for device use cases, with a focus on prototype development and reliability testing. This role is responsible for building and maintaining test rigs and engineering solutions to validate hardware performance in real-world and engineering scenarios. This engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware solutions meet program requirements and support rapid iteration.At Meta, we’re building the future of human connection and the technology that enables it. Required Skills:
Robotics Studio Hardware Systems Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Develop mechanical solutions for device prototypes and engineering test scenarios
2. Design and implement test rigs and fixtures for reliability and performance validation
3. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and field teams to ensure hardware meets program needs
4. Document and communicate technical findings and recommendations
5. Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement of hardware systems
Minimum Qualifications:

6. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or related field
7. 5+ years of experience in hardware systems design, prototyping, and testing
8. Experience with test rig development and reliability validation
9. Experience with technical communication and documentation skills
10. Experience collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and field teams

11. Masters degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Science, or a related field
12. Experience working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment while communicating complex concepts clearly and succinctly
13. Experience optimizing design of existing products or devices
Public Compensation:
$139,000/year to $200,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
