    Job Description

    Our Operational Excellence team is looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner – Student & Graduate Programs to support hiring for our Manufacturing and Supply Chain (MSOD) talent programs with a focus on functional internships across Caterpillar segments in the United States. The MSOD function encompasses manufacturing & automation, supply chain & logistics, and EHS roles within Caterpillar.  In this role, you will own full-cycle recruiting for the Leadership & Technical Development Program (LTDP) and U.S. MSOD internship program. This person will also promote and support Caterpillar’s recruitment brand across universities and various community events with a focus on interns. With a focus on strong university relationships, intern conversions & a best in class internship program, you will strategically build the future talent for the MSOD function at Caterpillar.

    What You Will Do:

    + Manage recruitment cycle from hello to hire by executing hiring for functional internships and LTDP roles based on yearly allocations including recruiting, interviewing, making offers, onboarding, and communicating orientation and start date plans for new employees.

    + Lead the function’s university relations strategy & engagement plan to ensure white glove recruitment of the right talent for MSOD student and graduate program positions now and in the future.

    + Lead university recruiting teams at identified strategic campuses and clubs to ensure execution of the functional recruitment strategy.

    + Execute the MSOD Summer internship program to continue to best meet the needs of the business.

    + Partner and consult with hiring managers regarding recruiting strategies and practices that support the goals and direction of the organization, leveraging data to drive decision-making.

    + Review trend analysis and utilize data for continuous program & recruitment improvement.

    + Utilize the applicant tracking system (ATS), Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) tools and industry-leading sourcing technologies to deliver the most qualified candidates for current roles and building strong candidate pipelines for future roles.

    + Contribute towards broader recruiting team projects.

    What You Have:

    + Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

    + Customer/Market Focus: Understanding of the importance of remaining aware of shifting market priorities and ability to respond to internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value. Talent Acquisition experience in energy, utilities, power or automotive preferred.

    + Candidate Screening: Knowledge of techniques, methods and processes of candidate screening; ability to preselect suitable candidates for first and further interviews within the organization.

    + Staffing and Recruiting: Knowledge of standards, processes, techniques and methods used in staffing and recruiting; ability to identify, select, retain and relocate qualified personnel, both internally and externally, for a wide range of positions.

    + Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

    + Communicating for Impact: Knowledge of the concepts, tools and techniques for effective listening and communicating; ability to apply these theories to receive, transmit and accurately interpret information and ideas to influence others in various situations.

    + Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

    Top Candidates will also have:

    + Knowledge of Organization: Knowledge of the organization's vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance.

    + Familiarity in Workday - specifically as a recruiter.

    + Experience supporting student and graduate programs.

    + Experience adapting to changing circumstances and working effectively in a dynamic environment.

    + Experience communicating and collaborating with internal and external customers at various levels in the organization and across segments.

    + Comfortable working without direct supervision.

    + Strong judgment and creative problem-solving skills.

    Additional Information:

    + The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL.

    + This role is office based and requires the employee to be onsite Monday to Friday.

    + Travel up to 10%, particularly during peak recruiting season.

    + Relocation is not available for this role.

    + Sponsorship is not available for this role.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $87,480.00 - $131,280.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
