Our Waco Distribution Center is looking to hire their next Distribution Leader who will lead and coordinate daily operations with responsibility for achieving maximum quality and cost effectiveness in an on-time and efficient manner. In this role, you will participate in all areas of employment, performance evaluations, associate relations, and associate development while promoting total employee involvement.

Onsite: This position has been designated as On-Site. The company has designated this role as safety sensitive.

Position Description

+ The Distribution Leader is responsible for providing materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services, and supervising staff.

+ The Distribution Leader is responsible leading Inventory Control, with the responsibility of ensuring the accuracy of warehouse and meet the Cycle Count goals.

+ This position will perform in-depth analysis of Operations inventory to provide both tactical and strategic direction on how to meet the goals of the organization for Safety, Quality, Delivery and Inventory Control.

Essential Job Functions

+ Achieve warehouse operational objectives through the contribution of warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.

+ Meet warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.

+ Develop warehouse operation’s systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, and creates processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.

+ Create warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems; evaluating and recommending new equipment.

+ Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.

+ Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

+ Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.

+ Oversee and maintain the cycle count process in accordance with standard operating procedures and company policies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: selecting parts for counting, determining and implementing appropriate cycle count methods and techniques, reconciling counts with perpetual inventory records, and conducting root cause analysis to identify and address discrepancies.

+ Work to develop a warehousing strategy to increase picking efficiencies, storage locations, and warehouse rationalization

Qualifications

+ Bachelors Degree preferred. H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required

+ 3+ years of experience working in a warehouse/distribution environment leading and developing teams

+ Must have experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, cycle counts

+ Must have good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office

+ Strong Knowledge Oracle R12 or other MRP systems

Compensation:

Pay Range: $70,000 - $95,000
