Position Summary:
The Fiscal Support Analyst is responsible for performing fiscal support activities within an assigned department or program. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), state and federal laws and institution policy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Maintaining records of financial transactions and preparing reports on the agency/institution's fiscal status.
+ Monitor student payments for A-State Online in which students are required to pay for courses before classes begin.
+ Send payment reminders and providing invoices upon student request; included FT-1 form.
+ Send notifications to students when balances occur due to loan adjustments or chargebacks.
+ Memo accounts for payments for VA students and Third party payments for A-State Online students
+ Process non-payment report and coordinate with Risepoint
+ Performs various account updates from daily reports for to keep data updated for audits.
+ Reports to Director of Online Financial Services and serves as primary support for A-State Online Billing
+ Deal continuously with the dissonance between a family's perceived need and the help available to the student. To resolve these situations without assistance, the fiscal support supervisor is knowledgeable and authoritative while remaining supportive, calm, and professional even in highly charged circumstances
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of staff development and supervision principles.
Knowledge of department operations, policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations.
Knowledge of software application programs, database management, and accounting principles.
Ability to conduct research and perform quantitative quality assurance reviews, resolve operational problems, and prepare required reports.
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate activities, resources, and materials associated with the needs of the department or program.
Ability to plan and direct the work of others.

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

This position has been identified as a telecommuting position. The duties are performed during standard work hours of 8am-5pm at a predefined and approved work location. Individuals filling this role must have dedicated work space that provides privacy and security related to the work being performed. Additionally, individuals must have secure internet access with appropriate upload/download capabilities to perform the duties associated with the position. Individuals in this position will be required to review and acknowledge the Telecommuting Guidelines and Telecommuting Agreement for A-State.
Location Requirement: To be considered for this position, candidates must reside in Arkansas or in a state that shares a border with Arkansas (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri, or Oklahoma). This residency requirement supports team collaboration, regional knowledge, and occasional in-person engagement as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of an earned Bachelor's Degree in general business, business administration, finance, or a related field
