We are seeking a skilled and experienced Java, GCP, Kubernetes Developer to join our technology team in the Property and Casualty insurance domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable applications and services using modern cloud and container technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that support core insurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services using Spring Batch and other Spring frameworks.

+ Build and deploy applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Kubernetes (GKE).

+ Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

+ Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.

+ Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and other development teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

+ Write and optimize SQL queries for application and reporting purposes.

+ Contribute to solution design and architecture for scalable applications.

+ Maintain code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.

+ Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions in production environments.

Required Technical Skills:

+ Java (Spring/Spring Batch): Core development for backend services, job scheduling, and batch processing in applications.

+ Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Hands-on experience in deploying and managing cloud-native applications and resources.

+ Kubernetes (GKE): Orchestrating containerized applications, managing clusters, and ensuring high availability and scalability.

+ Terraform: Automating infrastructure provisioning and management with Infrastructure as Code.

+ GitLab Pipelines: Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.

+ SQL: Basic to intermediate knowledge for querying and maintaining application data.

Preferred/Good to Have Skills:

+ JBoss: Experience with application server configuration and deployment.

+ Python: Scripting and automation for backend tasks and data manipulation.

+ JavaScript (React/Bootstrap): Front-end enhancements and user interface development.

+ AWS: Familiarity with Amazon Web Services for hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
