    As an Information Security Analyst, you provide secure technical support, problem resolution and implementation of information security solutions. This position is a hands-on technical position. This position has a critical role in the determination and creation of ever-changing security defense mechanisms in place within the Line of Business. The Information Security Analyst (ISA) is responsible for implementation of security solutions within the Line of Business Networks, as well as performing security monitoring, reporting, and auditing functions. This position will be imbedded in Line of Business Application and Technical Services and liaison with the Enterprise Security Office to progress strategic initiatives at the Line of Business, and develop internal agency security functionality.

     

    We will be filling multiple vacancies from this one posting.     Minimum Qualifications

    Position requires a minimum of three (3) years of IT related experience in an IT related field that includes direct experience using information security tools.

    Experience must include:

    + Experience performing security assessments of technologies using current security frameworks.

    + Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.

    + Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.

    A master’s degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelor’s degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associate’s degree substitutes for one (1) year.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Risk analysis and management techniques.

    + Ability to anticipate, and plan work tasks as well as follow direction and guidance from others.

    + Working knowledge of implementation and assessment of security controls and assessing system compliance with policies and other regulatory requirements.

    + Experience managing and maintaining documentation including procedures, standards, policies, spreadsheets.

    + Ability to read and interpret detailed technical information.

    + Security related certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM.

    + Ability to be sensitive to and respectful of the cultural and other differences that will be encountered when interacting with co-workers and in serving customers.
