    Civil Design Engineer

     
     

    We are a full-service engineering, design and construction management firm. Currently in our 79th year of operation, the H.F. Lenz Company offers a full range of engineering services for private and public buildings and facilities. Our high-profile projects span the nation, with the heaviest concentration in the Northeast.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Design site development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D in accordance with client standards.

    + Conduct surveys, and prepare reports, maps and other materials to identify best approach in developing and completing projects on time and within budget.

    + Research and review deeds, ordinances, field notes, municipal, state and federal codes to ensure compliance.

    + Collaborate with project engineers and design staff to address challenges and plan revisions.

    + Some travel to project sites and to perform land surveying tasks, is required.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.

    + 0-5 years’ of civil engineering experience or combination of education and experience.

    + FE / EIT certificate is preferred.

    + Experienced in AutoCAD Civil 3D

    + Experienced in Land Development, Civil Design, surveying and site lay-out.

    + Experienced with hydrologic / hydraulic modeling programs.

    + Experience preparing Post Construction Stormwater Management Plans

    + Experience preparing Erosion & Sedimentation Control Plans and NPDES Permitting

    + Ability to travel to local project sites and conduct site surveys as required.

    + Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

    + Ability to meet project deadlines and provide outstanding service to clients.

    + Ability to work in and foster a team environment with minimal supervision.
