Position Summary...

What you'll do...

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

+ **Build and deliver features** across the full stack ( Java/Spring Boot) to support time and attendance workflows.

+ **Participate in the migration** of core functionality from the legacy GTA platform to Walmart’s modern web and mobile architecture.

+ **Implement UI components and workflows** from legacy JSP-based systems into React Native applications, ensuring functionality, stability, and test coverage.

+ **Collaborate closely** with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into working solutions.

+ **Contribute to engineering best practices** by writing clean, maintainable code, unit tests, and automation pipelines.

+ **Support production systems** by troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring timely resolution.

+ **Share knowledge** with peers and contribute to documentation and team standards.

Key Responsibilities

+ Develop and maintain scalable applications for millions of Walmart associates.

+ Implement features, write tests, and ensure high-quality code through reviews and automation.

+ Participate in project planning, status updates, and cross-team collaboration.

+ Troubleshoot production issues, assist with root cause analysis, and ensure long-term fixes.

+ Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code quality practices.

What You’ll Bring

+ **4+ years of software development experience** (full-stack preferred).

+ Solid experience with **Java/Spring Boot** and building RESTful APIs.

+ Working knowledge of **cloud platforms** (Azure, GCP, or AWS).

+ Familiarity with **RDBMS or NoSQL databases** , Kafka or messaging systems is a plus.

+ Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in production environments.

+ Experience with **Git/GitHub, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker)** , and automated testing frameworks.

+ Good understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.

Preferred Skills

+ Experience migrating legacy systems to modern frameworks.

+ Exposure to large-scale applications and distributed systems.

+ Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting tools like Splunk, OpenObserve.

+ Strong collaboration and communication skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
