    We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support innovation and business development in KBR’s Science & Space Business Unit (S&S). This part-time role involves contributing expertise to strategic planning, support for ongoing and future projects, and educational program design.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams across S&S to support program execution and strategic growth.

    + Lead curriculum development efforts for certification programs focused on rehabilitation, performance enhancement, and professional development.

    + Conduct research and literature reviews to inform evidence-based educational content.

    + Develop training materials including manuals, online modules, and practical exercises.

    + Engage with professionals, educators, and industry experts to ensure curriculum quality and relevance.

    + Apply project management principles to forecast timelines and resource needs.

    + Monitor industry trends and innovations in health and human performance.

    + Provide strategic guidance on educational initiatives and program support.

    + Mentor professionals pursuing certification or advanced training.

    + Support development of job descriptions and performance standards.

    + Collaborate with HR and program managers on resource allocation and staffing needs.

    + Ensure alignment with recognized certification standards and organizations.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Advanced degree in a relevant health, science, or performance-related field.

    + Professional certification in a recognized specialty area.

    + Active and unrestricted professional license or credential (as applicable).

    + 20+ years of experience working with high-performance or specialized populations.

    + 15+ years of experience in healthcare, wellness, or performance-related environments.

    + Strong understanding of treatment protocols, performance optimization, and program design.

    + Minimum 3 years of experience in project or program management.

    + Proven experience in curriculum development and educational program delivery.

    + Familiarity with industry and academic trends in health and human performance.

    + Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Doctoral degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

    + Additional certifications in performance, wellness, or education.

    + Experience supporting federal, commercial, or fed-civ contracts or large-scale programs.

    Basic Compensation:

    $163,800 - $204,700

     

    The offered rate will be based on contract affordability and the selected candidate's working location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
