Koniag IT Systems LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Mobility Engineer to support KITS and our government customer in Washington, DC. This is a hybrid opportunity, requires 3days onsite and 2days remote. _This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity._

We are looking for a highly qualified, experienced and self-motivated individual to perform the duties of a Mobility Engineer to support a federal client located in Washington, DC.
The ideal Mobility Engineer will:
Support the design, fielding, and sustainment of enterprise mobility capabilities. This role is responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable mobile device management (MDM) solutions and associated infrastructure. The Mobility Engineer works closely with IT leadership to integrate mobile platforms with enterprise systems, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Design, configure, and maintain enterprise MDM/EMM solutions and supporting infrastructure.
+ Develop, test, and implement mobility strategies, configurations, and integrations with enterprise systems.
+ Research, design, and deploy mobile security solutions to protect organizational data.
+ Monitor and optimize mobile infrastructure performance, identifying and resolving interoperability issues.
+ Automate administrative and operational processes to improve system efficiency and reliability.
+ Analyze and report on system vulnerabilities and assist in remediation planning.
+ Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure operational consistency.
+ Develop and implement quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) plans for mobile systems.
+ Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations for adoption to improve enterprise mobility.
+ Support audits and compliance reviews, providing data and documentation as required.
+ Collaborate across IT disciplines to ensure alignment of mobile platforms with organizational goals.
Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
+ 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise mobility systems, including mobile device management platforms and related technologies.
+ Experience integrating MDM/EMM systems with enterprise identity, network, and security solutions.
Required Skills and Competencies:
+ Expert-level understanding of MDM platforms (e.g., Intune, AirWatch, MobileIron).
+ Strong background in mobile application deployment, security configuration, and performance tuning.
+ Hands-on experience with cloud-based infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or equivalent).
+ Skilled in process improvement, automation, and documentation of complex technical systems.
+ Proficiency in network troubleshooting and mobile VPN technologies.
+ Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Desired Skills and Competencies:
+ Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator, VMware Certified Professional – Digital Workspace, or CompTIA Mobility+.
+ Experience with Zero Trust architecture, mobile threat defense, and security compliance frameworks.
+ Familiarity with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) or similar process improvement methodologies.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and mentor junior administrators.
