What You Will Do

You will contribute to one or more technical projects in any number of areas including artificial intelligence, machine learning, autonomy, cyber security, UAVs, supercomputing, imaging and computer vision, distributed dynamic systems, signal processing, decision support, biotechnology and synthetic biology. You will also participate in a variety of Summer Intern activities and be expected to do a presentation on your project(s) at the end of your assignment.

Examples of what you will do include rudimentary research, software development, prototype development, test and evaluation, documentation and project management.

Qualifications You Must Have

+ Graduate of MIT’s 2025 Beaver Works Summer Institute.

+ Must be a spring 2026 high school graduate registered for college by the time the assignment begins in the summer of 2026.

+ Coursework in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

+ Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, C/C++, MATLAB.

The salary range for this role is 42,000 USD - 88,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
