    Overview

     

    Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service, Inc. is the largest independent, locally owned and operated Emergency Medical Service provider in Northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and Ohio. We provide wheelchair transportation, Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, and Critical Care Ground Transportation: as well as Critical Care Rotary Air Transportation.     Wage Range: $55k - 80k annually, rates offered based on years of experience

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure all employees are paid bi-weekly by the third-party payroll provider.

    + Answer inquiries and solve problems concerning payroll.

    + Responsible for the preparation and reporting of payroll information to third parties such as W-2’s, 941 quarterly payroll tax returns and other wage garnishments.

    + Process terminations, benefits deductions, tax withholdings, assist with address changes

    + Assist with preparing and gathering payroll tax reports, unemployment tax reports, EEO/DOL reports and various other payroll-related reports using Excel.

    + Once uniform deductions are received, Payroll adds deductions with unit amounts and deducts from employee uniform balance.

    + Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state and federal wage and hour laws and keeps abreast of changes in laws.

    + Performs other general clerical duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    + 5+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably using Dayforce

    + Successful candidate will be organized, and detail-oriented with excellent customer service and communication skills

    + Proficiency in MS Office required

    + Knowledge of Wage and Hour and other payroll-related laws is preferred

    + Reports to the VP of Finance in Elmhurst (in-office M-F)
