Cordova Safety, a Bunzl company, is hiring for a **1st shift Shipping Order Clerk.** The Shipping Order Clerk’s primary responsibility is to distribute work to order pullers and ensure shipping guidelines are communicated and followed out appropriately. This position is also responsible for monitoring the flow of shipments to ensure service is met daily.

Must be able to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. OT when necessary.

_This position is located in Piperton, TN_

_Responsibilities:_

+ Assign deliveries to Order Pullers, and make sure each delivery is reviewed for special instructions and proper shipping data when needed.

+ Prioritize orders by truck line pickup times, reporting updates to the shipping Supervisor to ensure on time shipments. Must be familiar with the flow of work and schedule of truck line pickups to perform this function.

+ Monitor and perform delivery adjustments and report back to Inventory Control to find the stock or adjust out to prevent orders with no stock available from printing.

+ Communicate with CSR when issues with deliveries arise such as invalid account #’s and order entry errors.

+ Make changes to delivery carrier assignments when needed to ensure shipping volume is maximized.

+ Assist with monitoring employees to ensure proper shipping procedures are followed.

+ Track and order supplies via project manager as necessary.

+ Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.

+ Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.

+ Coordinate Special shipping projects as assigned by the Cordova Warehouse Manager.

_Qualifications:_

+ High School Diploma preferred

+ 2 years of college experience is preferred.

+ SAP experience a plus.

+ Ability to work overtime as needed

+ Must be dependable and a team player

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Must have an excellent working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel.

+ Bilingual individuals are preferred.

+ Must be able to multi-task.

+ Must have excellent organizational and administrative skills, interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills.

+ Present a positive, approachable personality, geared toward teamwork and customer service.

+ Ability to work with minimal supervision; to make sound, independent decisions

+ Must take initiative, be a self-starter, a positive influence on others

+ Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
