Job Summary
Serves as a data migration specialist during the YMCA of Greater Seattle’s transition from Raiser’s Edge (RE) to Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP).
This role works directly with the Information Services (IS) project team and in direct collaboration with the Senior Director of Operations – Philanthropy to ensure that philanthropy data in RE is accurately extracted, validated, and packaged for migration to NPSP.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time temporary position, working Monday through Friday with occasional nights and weekends as needed. While the expectation is a minimum of 50% work will be conducted from the Association Office, this position is Flexible Work eligible, meaning the incumbent may work at home, at a non-office location, at a satellite office, a YGS facility or any of the above for the remaining time. Any related expenses incurred as a result of voluntary remote work will be the responsibility of the employee.

Responsibilities
Data Extraction and Preparation
+ Extract donor, gift, and related records from Raiser’s Edge NXT for migration into Salesforce NPSP including but not limited to Accounts & Contacts
+ Opportunities (Donations + Payments)
+ Soft Credits
+ Matching Gifts
+ Installments
+ Adjustments
+ Write-Offs
+ Acknowledgements (critical for tax receipts)
+ Relationships
+ Attributes
+ Notes
+ Actions
+ Tokens (if applicable)
+ Media
+ Conduct multiple extraction cycles to support iterative testing.
Data Mapping
+ Collaborate with IS and Philanthropy Operations to validate field mappings between RE and NPSP objects.
+ Review mapping logic using internal data frameworks and Traction Rec configuration workbooks
+ Identify discrepancies or field conflicts and propose data normalization solutions.
Data Validation
+ Perform record counts, data comparisons, and spot checks to verify migration accuracy and completeness.
+ Support validation testing for migrated datasets.
+ Document exceptions, data errors, and correction steps within project tracking tools.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Work with the IS project team and Philanthropy Operations to ensure proper fund/GL, campaign, and donor records mapping.
Support configuration testing tied to soft credit rules, GAU/GL allocations, and acknowledgements
Documentation and Reporting
+ Maintains documentation related to migration processes, mapping, and validation outcomes

Qualifications
+ Five or more years related experience with two or more years of experience in donor database management systems such as Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or similar platforms that track donor engagement, manage contributions, and analyze fundraising data.
+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work proactively across different organizational levels, with a preference for familiarity with YMCA operations and systems.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving and customer service skills with a strategic mindset.
+ Advanced computer proficiency, including in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and web-based applications.
+ Prefer experience working with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.). Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
