OVERVIEW
Responsible for Floor Call Mechanics and Shift Maintenance. Specifically, responsible for ensuring Safe work practices, Quality specifications are met and Food Safety/Quality procedures are followed, Developing/Compliance to Standard Work procedures, and adherence to production scheduling/staffing requirements. Responsible for cross-functional collaboration with Processing, Maintenance departments to provide active leadership in support of Daily Operations.

**Schedule:** 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM on a 2,2,3 schedule (12- hour shifts)
**Work Location:** 200 NW. Victoria Drive Lee's Summit, MO 64086

**Salary, based on experience and other qualifications:** $44.00 an hour
Shift Differential: $1.50 per hour
LEADERSHIP
Full processing maintenance responsibility in the absence of Supervisor. Required to effectively administer the Company Handbook in addition to providing maintenance leadership and decision making with the advice and counsel of the Department Manager. Takes direction from Staff members and clearly executes the plan of action. Conducts him/herself as a representative of the leadership team for the company and provides direction, coaching, and discipline as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3 years of Leadership in a Manufacturing Environment (Food/Pharma preferred)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: -General knowledge of basic computer operation, including Microsoft Office applications. Ability to enter data and parameters into equipment touch screens is required. - Ability to independently analyze and solve problems. - Strong mechanical ability and the ability to perform complex maintenance are essential. - Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Food Defense, BRC and OSHA requirements is preferred. - Ability to manage/resolve conflict is essential. - Skilled at training and developing team members. - Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, written and oral communication skills are equally important.
Summary: Responsible for Floor Call Mechanics and Shift Maintenance, working a 12-hour shift schedule, 2-2-3 Block Shift. Overtime is required for Call ins and Vacations scheduled.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
Coordinate and adhere to crewing schedules, with the Maintenance Supervisor.
Coordinate Maintenance efforts with Technicians on shift
Safety training and compliance to safety policies/practices
Works with Maintenance Supervisor and Trains Lower tier Maintenance Technicians.
Ensure the shift runs well. Follow the shift matrix and work closely with Shift leads and supervisor to ensure all issues are handled on the shift with appropriate time management.
Participates in plant maintenance program
- Communicates with Scheduling/ production when working on/ turning over equipment.
- Communicates with production on reoccurring issues causing slow production to increase production & decrease downtime.
- Communicates directly with the maintenance department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in Processing areas.
- Performs preventive maintenance activities as required.
- Assists maintenance technicians in performing maintenance and repairs.
- Assists with diagnosing and trouble-shooting maintenance related issues.
• **Physical Requirements:**
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 75lbs.
- The employee must have the ability work in physically demanding situations, e.g., bending and reaching while standing, leaning, and squatting.
- Must be able to climb ladders and work on platforms at elevations of 100 feet.
• Working Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
- The employee is regularly exposed to dusty conditions.
- The employee is regularly exposed to high noise environments.
- The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather in all conditions.
- The employee will regularly be exposed to chemicals used in the cleaning / sanitation processes.
