    What does this role look like?

     

    National Security Space is seeking a Program Management Director in Littleton, Colorado to support highest priority compartmented Bravo Portfolio within the Space Protection Program area\.

    In this role will offer you the following daily key responsibilities:

    The Program Management Director will be responsible for leading a cross\-functional team in all phases of a comparted portfolio of programs simultaneously executing in multiple phases, from start up through final integration and test, as well as the operational aspects\.

     

    • Overall responsibility for execution of programs

    • Leadership of all program milestone reviews

    • Program management of subcontracts

    • Management support to manufacturing and ATLO efforts

    • Assign and oversee the day to day activities of the program managers

    • Oversee management of the Program management baselines \(PMB\), including management of critical path, change control, and EVMS performance\.

    • Lead proposal efforts

    • Participate in the negotiation of contract changes and act as a primary customer contact\.

    • Provide leadership support to all "keep sold" efforts, including USG stakeholder outreach and engagement\.

    • Regular executive interfacing with customer and mission partners\.

    • Regular executive level briefs on program status\.

    Key Objectives:

    • Meet or exceed technical, schedule and financial commitments\.

    • Maintain/Improve Customer confidence\.

    • Develop and monitor metrics to ensure milestones are completed on schedule\.

    • Ensure successful program execution\.

    This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Denver, Colorado , and be expected to work in the office\.

    Basic Qualifications:

    To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

    • BS in STEM field \(i\.e\., Aerospace, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Astrophysics\)\.

    • 15\+ years of related technical and or program management experience\.

    • Demonstrated Program Management and leadership skills \(prior lead, supervisor and/or management experience\)\.

    • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets/cost performance

    • Prior experience as a Cost Account Manager \(CAM\)\.

    • Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership capabilities and performance, program management experience, customer familiarity\.

    • You will need to be a US Citizen, andcurrently possess and be able to maintain a US TS/SCI with POLY clearance, with ability to obtain access to special access programs \(SAP\),to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information\.

    Desired Skills:

    To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

    • Experience with both DOD and IC Customers, Program Offices and Stakeholders\.

    • MS in relevant engineering field \(see above\); MBA and/or professional PM certification\.

    • Demonstrated success balancing multiple conflicting priorities

    • Prior experience in one or more of the following:

    o Experience in Earned Value Management \(EVM\)

    o Agile Systems Engineering

    o Agile release Software Development processes

    o Prior role involving the production of spacecraft hardware \(AI&T or manufacturing\)

    o Prior experience managing or coordinating work via

    subcontracts

    • LM21, 6 sigma, Black or Green Belt; Process Improvement; credentialed engineer skills

    • Strong executive presence; experience with technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk\.

    • Experience with running an office in a fast paced environment supporting multiple programs\.

    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and quickly adjust to changing priorities\.

    • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with senior leadership, customers and stakeholders

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail\.

    • Proven track record of establishing relationships with customers and other stakeholders\.

    **Schedule for this Position:** 9x80 every other Friday off

    **Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $180,000 \- $287,500\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as \(but not limited to\) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer\. **Benefits offered:** Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short\-Term Disability, Long\-Term Disability, 401\(k\) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays\. \(Washington state applicants only\) Non\-represented full\-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off \(PTO\) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays\. Represented full time employees accrue 6\.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays\.
