Overview
**This position is Remote. Candidates must reside in California.**
**Schedule:** Day Shift
**Purpose Statement/Position Summary:** The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements, including maintenance of the general ledger, maintenance of accounting applications (PeopleSoft, nVision), coordination of the monthly close process, quarterly debt reporting requirements and the annual financial statements. The Accounting Manager ensures compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and GAAP reporting guidelines. The Accounting Manager also supports the Assistant Controller in coordinating the external audit process, tax reporting, donor reporting, and other key projects. Additionally, this position is responsible for leading and developing the accounting staff.
**Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:** 7+ years of accounting experience. PeopleSoft experience highly preferred. Strong communication and analytical skills. Experience leading and developing teams highly preferred. System implementation experience highly preferred. Proven results driving improvements.
**Education/Licensure/Certification:** Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a fully accredited institution. MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred.
Pay Scale Information
$84,302.00-$144,518.00

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
