What will you do?
A day in the life of a Planner for the Full Price business at The North Face looks a little like this.
The Planner – Full Price Retail is responsible for driving sales, margin, and inventory productivity across the full-price retail business. This role leverages data-driven analysis and cross functional collaboration to optimize inventory strategies, support in-season business needs and deliver premium retail experience. The Planner acts as a key business partner, balancing financial goals with consumer demand to maximize performance. This role partners closely with Buying, Allocation, Visual Merchandising, and Retail Operations to ensure strategic inventory management and financial planning that supports premium brand execution and commercial success.

_Sales & Inventory Performance Management_
+ _Analyze sales, inventory, and profitability across multiple levels (item, class, division, attribute) to identify trends and opportunities._
+ _Provide actionable insights and recommendations to maximize revenue, profitability, and inventory turn._
+ _Partner with cross-functional teams to align business strategies and performance goals._
_OTB & Financial Re-Projections_
+ _Monitor and manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) to ensure alignment with sales, margin and inventory targets._
+ _Re-project sales, discounts, and margins based on current performance trends to meet financial targets._
+ _Support chase buys and in-season inventory adjustments to capitalize on demand shifts._
_Markdown, Promotional & Exit Strategy_
+ _Develop and execute a cohesive markdown and promotional strategy to support sell-through while protecting profitability._
+ _Partner with cross functional teams to manage end of life and slow-moving inventory through strategic exit plans._
+ _Collaborate with Merchandising and Marketing to align promotional calendars with business objectives and maintain premium brand presentation across stores during transitions._
_Allocation, Visual Merchandising & Retail Partnership_
+ _Collaborate with Allocation to ensure optimal distribution that supports store needs and sales potential._
+ _Partner with Visual Merchandising and Retail Operations to align inventory with floor sets, seasonal launches and in-store storytelling._
+ _Ensure execution strategies reflect commercial goals and enhance consumer experience._
What do you need to succeed?
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3-5 years of experience in Retail Planning, Merchandise Planning or related field and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
+ Strong analytical and financial acumen with proficiency in Excel and planning systems (e.g., SAP, JDA, or similar).
+ Demonstrated ability to interpret data, forecast trends and make strategic recommendations.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross functional partners.
+ Detail oriented with strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
+ Experience in premium or specialty retail.
+ Familiarity with full-price business models and lifecycle inventory management.

Hiring Range** **:
$73,440.00 USD - $91,800.00 USD annually
**Incentive Potential** : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
