The Receiving Specialist is responsible for overseeing and executing all aspects of the receiving process. This includes audits, system entries, labeling discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with C-TPAT standards. The role requires close coordination with the Receiving Lead, Materials, and Finance teams to resolve discrepancies, process orders, and maintain accurate filing systems.
**Shift:** 1st Shift
**Hours:** 6am-430pm (M-F & Weekends as needed)
Responsibilities:
+ Schedule and coordinate incoming full truckload freight.
+ Investigate international freight issues and complete C-TPAT documentation.
+ Inspect and resolve issues with unidentified packages (e.g., missing packing slips or labels).
+ Audit and maintain control of major supplier records (packing list, seals, and Freight BOL)
+ Monitor warehouse locations, including Receiving, Staging (1–4), ATD, and Super Market.
+ Process reversals of receipts and research discrepancies in coordination with Finance.
+ Maintain both electronic and physical filing systems.
+ Receive and process MRO, OH, and IG material orders.
+ Prepare shipping forms and Bills of Lading (BOL) for outgoing materials.
+ Generate and review internal and external Kanban reports.
+ Track and expedite incoming parts as needed.
+ Notify associates of the arrival of MRO, OH, and PPAP materials.
+ Conduct warehouse audits to resolve receiving discrepancies.
+ Order and manage departmental supplies.
+ Provide required documentation for Finance and PW audits.
+ Maintain the nonconformance log.
+ Participate in meetings as requested by Finance or Materials teams.
Education/Certifications/Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or GED required; advanced degree preferred.
+ OSHA 10 certification a plus.
+ 3–5 years of warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
+ Experience with JDE or similar ERP system strongly preferred.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
+ Effective multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
+ Self-motivated, ethical, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
+ Experience equivalent in Warehousing and Transportation Logistics.
