In this dynamic Product Safety & Compliance Internship, you’ll support critical efforts to ensure that Lowe’s products meet rigorous safety and regulatory standards and processes. Working alongside experts in product compliance and product safety, you’ll help employ product safety processes, monitor regulatory updates, and assist in risk mitigation initiatives. Your contributions will help ensure millions of products are safe, compliant, and ready to serve our customers — all while gaining hands-on experience at a Fortune 100 company committed to your professional growth.

Summer Internship Program

Our 10-week summer internship program (May 26th – July 31st) immerses you in real-world retail operations. You'll work directly with industry experts across our stores, distribution centers, and corporate offices, gaining practical experience through hands-on projects that make meaningful contributions to our business and communities.

Do Your Best Work in Mooresville

This internship is based at our headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina. Our corporate office is a space where you can collaborate and do your best work. Take a walk, grab a bite (or a cup of coffee), work out or get a check-up – we invest in you so you can find your inspiration.

What You Will Learn

+ Learn how compliance, product safety, and quality assurance functions drive customer trust and business success.

+ Support the tracking and analysis of regulatory changes impacting product safety and compliance standards.

+ Participate in cross-functional collaboration with merchandising, legal, and other stakeholders.

+ Contribute to the development of compliance-related tools and help drive process improvements.

+ Gain an understanding of recalls, containments, communications, and their related processes.

Minimum Qualifications

+ Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, environmental science, or a related field.

+ Expected graduation dates of December 2026 or May 2027.

Preferred Skills/Experience

+ 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.

+ Proficient in MS Office Programs (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

+ Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills

+ Interest in regulatory affairs, product compliance, or risk management

+ Prior internship, lab, or project experience in a quality, safety, or compliance setting is a plus

+ Experience in a leadership role at work or in a campus organization
