Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Plans, organizes, directs and owns the core revenue cycle functions within a center of excellence across multiple hospitals. Directing day to day operations for multiple hospitals, governing the structure within revenue cycle management and producing collaborative teams to implement systems that strive for continuous improvement. Produces business results through management, benchmarking and financial analysis of patient accounting.

Responsibilities

+ Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.

+ Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.

+ Provide patient financial services direction within multiple hospitals, ensuring services provided meet the needs of customers through timely and accurate revenue cycle operations.

+ Develops and implements programs and work plans to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Central Business Office and for revenue cycle management process redesign.

+ Provides expert in-house consultation to managed care on operations and collections issues as they relate to contract negotiations.

+ Ensures operations are efficient and in compliance with federal and state regulations and managed care contracts.

+ Develop and maintain processes to identify payments and denial trends and develop appropriate responses to such trends.
