Description:
Volunteer Services Supervisor
Position Purpose:
Volunteer Services Supervisor supports the operations of the Volunteer Services Department by processing new volunteer applications, managing the volunteer data base, making appointments, creating and maintaining volunteer records for ongoing regulatory compliance. Performs other coordinating and administrative duties to support department staff and over 250 volunteers.
What you'll do:
+ Review incoming volunteer applications for viability, schedule and conduct interviews, and complete or coordinate all on-boarding steps including background check, TB test, vaccination history, and role-specific requirements
+ Place volunteers at assigned sites, including connecting with staff trainers, ensure schedules are updated, and complete needed training paperwork
+ Provide on-site volunteer support including rounding, troubleshooting, and liaising with departments
+ Update and maintain the electronic volunteer database
+ Support volunteer placement at all sites as needed
*This position will primarily work on the Mount Carmel Grove City campus but will travel to all Mount Carmel hospital locations as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Social Sciences, Human Resources, Business, or a related field
+ Licensure Requirement: CAVS, CDVS, or CVA certification preferred
+ Demonstrated ability to relate to all individuals regardless of age, race, orientation, etc.,
+ Personal commitment to volunteerism
+ Demonstrated proficiency with information systems and personal computers including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
+ Must be able to do general business arithmetic accurately and maintain statistical records and reports
+ Must be mature, poised, professional and able to project hospital's image to the community.
