Description:
**Position Title:** Transportation Assistant – Day Shift
**Location:** Trinity Health PACE - Mercy Life of West Philadelphia
Position Summary:
The Transportation Assistant supports safe and comfortable transportation for participants of Trinity Health PACE. This role ensures a warm, calm environment and upholds the Mission, Vision, and Values of Trinity Health through compassionate service and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Assist drivers in transporting participants safely, including ambulation and toileting support.
+ Communicate with dispatch after each pickup/drop-off and relay participant updates to the center.
+ Escort participants to medical and recreational appointments, ensuring safety and comfort.
+ Support vehicle cleanliness and sanitation.
+ Help coordinate transport schedules with medical offices, families, and internal teams.
+ Transport supplies, meals, mail, and other items as needed.
+ Participate in training and adhere to all policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
+ Actively contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ One year of experience with elderly or frail populations preferred.
+ CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
+ Valid driver’s license preferred.
+ Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation software preferred.
+ Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
