General Summary:
Responsible for the oversight of all business and administration activities of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. As a senior member of the administration team, the Associate AD for Business and Administration will work with the Vice President of Athletics to set annual budgets for each program and the department. The position is responsible for all procurement, travel, inventories, accounts payable and receivable, billing, revenue reconciliation to include ticketing, donations, sponsorships, camps and other auxiliary revenue. The position will provide ongoing training to staff related to travel and procurement reporting consistent with WTAMU policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
+ Oversees the Athletics budget and related business, reporting functions, maintains financial records, and serves as a resource for department staff. This position will support efficient day-to-day operations and assist the VP of Athletics in developing the master budget. Responsible for all financial systems within Athletics.
+ Responsible for accounts payable through requisitions and pro card payments, responsible for payments to athletic event personnel, oversee state bids, and RFP’s. This position will review and authorize Athletics expenditures, reimbursements, and reconciliations of all Athletics accounts.
+ Responsible for the booking of revenues for tickets, camps, corporate sponsorships, concession revenue, donations, and special athletic events. This position will work with Ticketing Operations to maintain necessary records related to ticket sales for all events, including proper reporting of deposits and sales.
+ Attend and represent Athletics at necessary division and university meetings related to finance, budgets, etc.
+ Approver of CBA and Pro card charges of coaches and support staff.
+ Assist coaches and administration with understanding and management on individual budgets.
+ Prepare and lead in all auxiliary audits, NCAA audits and EADA reports. Maintain records and procedures.
+ Direct and supervise support staff in daily duties as needed. Assist with some HR/personnel needs.
+ Maintains 100% compliance with timely completion of required System, University and job-specific online training courses.

Necessary Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree or combination of equivalent education and experience.
+ Four (4) years of related experience.
+ Knowledge of budgeting, financial reconciliation, billing, receivables, collections, travel, procurement and inventory management.
+ Microsoft Office products and financial accounting software.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in related field
+ Three (3) years of higher education or athletics experience
+ Human Resource experience
