Under the supervision of the Director of Youth Treatment, the Youth Admission Coordinator shall provide youth treatment coordination, including providing education on youth services to clients and staff, creating resource documents for youth services, providing initial intake services for all clients, and providing assistance to families for coordination of care. The Youth Admission Coordinator will be an integral member of a care team that includes the program director, addictions counselors, and youth support specialists. They shall also act in accordance with the policies determined by the Board of Directors and shall abide by all applicable federal, state and local regulations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Provide information, education, and resources for clients, referral sources, and stakeholders regarding youth treatment services.
+ Admission scheduling and coordination, obtaining prior authorizations from payers to deliver services, & referrals to assist as needed. Obtain prior authorization to deliver services for a minimum of 95% of all clients. Works closely with other personnel to ensure a smooth, timely flow of patients and information to maximize reimbursement for services.
+ Obtain current assessments/clinical information and Client Placement Agreements for all clients prior to admission for review by the clinical supervisor designated to the assigned location.
+ Maintain financial records as required by the agency. Check client accounts and other fiscal records for accuracy. (When required by location).
+ Maintain relationships with parents or legal guardians of adolescents and provide education on the adolescent program.
+ Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
+ Perform other job responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
+ High school graduate or equivalent.
+ Ability to navigate EHR
+ Although not mandatory persons that are bilingual (English & Spanish) will be given strong consideration.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills required as well as ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
+ Capable of maintaining a team spirit and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
+ Must be adaptable to change and have effective organizational skills.
+ Must be able to organize and follow through on multiple tasks.
+ Display consistent, good judgment and decision-making skills.
+ Ability to establish and maintain rapport with target population.
+ Must be able to pass background/security check.
+ Employees who have been diagnosed with any type of substance use disorder or behavioral addiction/compulsion must have sustained a minimum of two consecutive years of abstinence from all intoxicating substances and symptoms of their chemical and/or behavioral addiction; and must be in full sustained remission.
+ Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word. Outlook and with a basic understanding of Excel preferred.
+ Position may also involve bending, walking stairs, and lifting up to-40 pounds on occasion.
