    **Work Arrangement:** This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the GM Global Technical Center - Champion Service Operations office three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.

    **Relocation:** This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

    The Role:

    Serve as a Warranty Financial Analyst, bringing timely and insightful decisions to all strategic and tactical matters as they related to warranty forecasting, accounting, audit/SOX compliance and financial analyses, leveraging financial systems and processes that increase visibility, improve efficiency, shorten decision cycle times, and reinforce financial integrity and accountability.

    What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

    + Perform Warranty COE General Ledger functions; assure accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

    + Prepare manual journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and reserve adequacy studies

    + Prepare warranty accrual rates using US GAAP accepted actuarial methodologies

    + Maintenance of financial data in warranty system

    + Identify, interpret and analyze potential accounting risks and issues

    + Research and analyze accounting transactions and contracts

    + Identify and execute internal controls, SOX compliance and financial procedures

    + Partner with Finance to determine accounting implications of transactions and perform analytical analyses to utilize when making all material business decisions

    + Assist with internal and external financial reporting - including analyzing consolidated results, drafting SEC documents and management review reports, ensuring quality, and administering strict timeline

    + Evaluate current accounting practices and policies and drive continuous improvement

    Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

    + Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting

    + CPA required.

    + minimum 2 years' experience in accounting or controllership

    What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)​:

    + Knowledge and experience working enterprise accounting system (SAP and/or Oracle Hyperion)

    + Warranty or product costing accounting experience

    + Experience working within Automotive or Manufacturing
