Hospice Volunteer Coordinator
_Part-Time (20-24 hours)_

How You’ll Make a Difference
+ Promote Elara Caring’s mission and ensure the highest standards of hospice care.
+ Recruit, screen, train, and mentor volunteers who support patients and families.
+ Maintain accurate volunteer records, hours, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
+ Ensure volunteer contributions meet program needs, including the CMS requirement that 5% of direct patient care hours are provided by volunteers.
+ Provide guidance and coaching to volunteers, ensuring they feel supported, engaged, and valued.
+ Collaborate with the hospice team to match volunteers with opportunities that best serve patients and families.
+ Track and report program outcomes to demonstrate the positive impact of volunteer services.
What You’ll Need
+ High School Diploma or GED required (college coursework a plus).
+ 2+ years of experience in healthcare, hospice, or volunteer program management.
+ Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
+ Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
+ Compassionate leadership skills to guide volunteers with empathy and professionalism.
+ Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 50–100 lbs as needed.
+ Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
