Job Description

The Omni Richmond Hotel is hiring for a reliable, hard-working Dishwasher to join its Back of the House team. As a Dishwasher, you will be i n charge of the dish pit and must ensure it remains clean, well organized and in compliance of work safety regulations. Maintaining the cleanliness of other Back of the House areas, such as the Employee Cafeteria, are also required of this position. At Omni, you are more than just a Dishwasher - you are a Mess and Sanitation Specialist! For without you, we would be faced with an unsanitary mess... literally.

Pay Rate: $15 per hour

Responsibilities

General job duties include, but not limited to...

+ Ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, utensils, pots, and pans

+ Assisting with loading and unloading supplies and products

+ Maintaining a clean and organized dish-washing area

+ Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards

+ Ensuring compliance with outlined safety procedures, as well as hotel policies and procedures

+ Assisting Front of the House team by busing tables as needed

+ Maintaining temperatures and chemical levels of dish-washing machine as outlined by provided standards.

+ Sweeping and moping kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

+ Removing trash and placing it in designated containers.

+ Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

For this role, the basic qualifications include...

+ Ability to perform the physical functions of the position- such as lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, stooping, reaching - for extending periods of time

+ Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

+ Ability to comprehend and execute correct set up and use of all di sh-washing equipment

+ Ability to understand and execute food safety and sanitation protocols

+ Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities during the shift

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

+ Reliable means of transportation to and from hotel

+ Must be 18 years or older
