Job Description:
The Brands Manager position will perform the following duties:
+ Supervise associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
+ Achieves profitable sales and margin growth of Brands. Manages and provides sales and marketing direction and education preparation to inside and outside sales force, and customer service, establishing market focus, sales strategies, goals and implementation of training programs.
+ Reviews cost and selling prices of the entire Brands division to create a profitable pricing structure. maintains information about new developments and changes to the distribution industry.
+ Directs and coordinates promotion of products manufactured or services performed to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in their trading area. Coordinates activities of divisions or departments to effect operations efficiency and economy. Prepares and submits operation plan to leadership team. Effectively plans and executes Brands strategy.
+ Manages OPCO monthly Brands budget.
+ Tracks Brand performance and recommends improvements. Researches marketplace to identify expectations. Works with the Marketing team to develop collateral materials and review needed and existing plans. Reviews market analysis to determine business and market opportunities for key stakeholders and ensure supportive organizational growth and development.
+ Performs QA assessments and cuttings around Brands.
+ Implements and manages an effective broker/manufacturer “work with” and sampling process around Brands. Develops, establishes and implements new product offerings. Transfers learned experience into attractive product/service offerings.
+ Develop and promote "Performance" brands within managed categories and conduct ongoing evaluation of the products through comparison to competitive products and suppliers through data and product cuttings and comparisons and evaluation of supplier product specifications and food safety programs.
+ Perform vendor meetings - review sales, earned income trends, OpCo issues. Develop and action plan to address those issues as needed.
+ Assist with merchandising conference planning activities, attend, participate, and present at various events such as Summits, IFDA, NRA, Executive Conferences, Unipro, and other industry events and conferences.
+ Negotiate new and enhanced supplier programs to solicit participation in key marketing strategies / events to include maintaining all documents, forms and related Vendor information.
+ Perform key category reviews, analyze sales, earned income (revenue), industry trends, etc. for brand extensions and/or Request For Proposals (RFPs).
+ Support other strategic departments and company goals and functions with procurement related information, functions and activities.
+ Increases knowledge and expertise of all OPCO associates to meet planned Brand growth and customer demands
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
