    Bard Manufacturing Company, Inc., a leader in the HVAC industry, has an opening for a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor at our facility located in Madison, Ga.

With production facilities in Ohio, Georgia and Mexico, we service our customers both nationwide and internationally by designing and manufacturing cutting-edge engineered products.

    Scope and Responsibilities:

    The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor supervises and directs the hourly production employees in the Shipping/Receiving department. The key objectives of this position are to meet production and shipping schedules by achieving high levels of quality, safety, and productivity.

    Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    + Supervises and coordinates activities of hourly workers in the Shipping/Receiving Departments.

    + Meet and maintain shipping schedules.

    + Insure timely and accurate receiving operations to promote smooth work flow.

    + Maintain an orderly and well-organized warehouse.

    + Observes operations and ensures worker compliance with prescribed methods and procedures.

    + Administers progressive discipline when necessary. Documents potential situations/discussions that could lead to disciplinary action of workers.

    + Informs HR of any issue which is reported or observed concerning harassment or workplace violence.

    + Manages department to meet customer’s expectations for product quality and delivery.

    + Conducts cycle counts as scheduled and maintains a 95% Inventory Record Accuracy.

    + Manages the inventory in the shipping warehouse, routinely adjusts for accuracy while determining the causes for adjustments and implementing corrective action.

    + Maintain disciplined approach to following the policies of shipping department and following the processes as defined.

    + Completes necessary paperwork in timely manner.

    + Maintains a high and continually improving level of quality.

    + Administer time and attendance.

    + Trains and coaches subordinates.

    + Conducts on-the-job training for newly assigned workers.

    + Conducts weekly informative meetings and documents minutes.

    + Maintains good housekeeping.

    + Administers and upholds the integrity of the collective bargaining agreement.

    + Abides by and ensures that all safety standards are met and rules are followed.

    + Assess operations and implement methods to reduce cost and improve department performance, continuous improvement.

    + Promote and practice good lines of honest communications with department employees, customer service, other supervisors and other departments within the company.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Experience:

    The successful candidate will possess the following skills/abilities:

    + High School diploma required; Associates degree in business or related field preferred

    + 3-5 years related supervisory experience in a union environment.

    + Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and warehousing techniques

    + Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills

    + Goal oriented and self-driven

    + Strong Computer Skills - Outlook, Word, Excel, AS400

    + Skilled in performance management
