Embark on a transformative journey with Amazon's Pathways Operations internship, where you'll solve real-world challenges at one of our dynamic operations sites. This 12-week immersive experience offers an opportunity to drive immediate improvements and develop hands-on leadership skills at the heart of Amazon's operations network.
You'll be directly embedded in one of our state-of-the-art facilities (Fulfillment Center, Sort Center, Delivery Station, or Amazon Air site), leading impactful projects that influence day-to-day operations and have the potential to scale across our network. This internship is your gateway to developing strategic problem-solving skills, collaborating with senior leadership, and gaining unprecedented insights into large-scale operations management.
Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic operational improvements
- Lead data-driven projects that optimize supply chain processes and enhance customer experience
- Analyze complex business challenges and develop scalable, innovative solutions
- Engage in cross-functional teamwork to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to operational efficiency and strategic decision-making processes
A day in the life
Your day will be fast-paced and hands-on, immersed in a live operations environment. You'll engage in site-specific projects, analyze operational challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that directly enhance customer experiences. You'll work alongside operations leaders and frontline associates, gaining valuable experience in managing a dynamic workforce.
About the team
You'll join a site operations team that drives results 24/7 to deliver for our customers. Our teams include Area Managers, Operations Managers, and front-line associates all working together to achieve operational excellence. Your site leadership team will mentor you in Amazon's culture of ownership and innovation, while providing opportunities to lead real process improvements. Working alongside experienced operations leaders, you'll learn how a successful Amazon site operates and how your solutions can make an immediate impact.
Basic Qualifications
- Are enrolled in a full-time MBA program
- Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum
- Are enrolled in an equivalent master's level program
- Expected degree conferral date between December 2026 – June 2027
- Minimum age of 18 years old
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of post-undergraduate and pre-Master's professional or military experience
- Experience in warehouse operations and logistics or equivalent
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience with analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting
- Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects, or experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Experience providing and effectively communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data
- Experience recognizing a challenge and working with a variety of teams and data sources to diagnose the problem and recommend solutions
- Experience with AI/ML technologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $58.41/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $85.67/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
