    Overview

    Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Outpatient PRN

    **Location:** NovaCare Rehabilitation – Frederick County, MD

    **Schedule:** PRN | Weekdays (Monday–Friday)

    **Compensation:** $29–$35/hour

     

    NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking licensed **PRN Physical Therapist Assistants** to support our **outpatient orthopedic clinics** across Frederick County, Maryland. This flexible opportunity is ideal for PTAs with outpatient experience who value work-life balance. We’ll align your availability with our coverage needs to create a schedule that works for you.

     

    We operate four outpatient centers in Frederick County, including **Urbana (Ijamsville), Frederick, and Middletown,** with nearby locations in **Gaithersburg, Olney** , and beyond. Our clinicians serve a diverse patient population, from teens to geriatrics, and offer a wide range of services, including:

     

    + General Orthopedics

    + Sports Medicine

    + Industrial Rehab (POETS, FCEs)

    + Aquatic Therapy

    + Oncology Rehab

    + Concussion Management

     

    Center hours begin as early as **6:00 AM** , with the last patient scheduled at **7:30 PM** . PRN coverage may include **weekday evenings** . We are **closed on weekends** .

    Responsibilities

    + Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.

    + Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures

    + Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

    Qualifications

    + College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program

    + Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE

    + Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)

    + CPR certification
