    GIS Technician – Direct Hire Position in Wichita, KS

    Job purpose:

    Assist GIS Analysts with producing accurate GIS analyses for a variety of products by utilizing cutting edge GIS and data blending software, as well as the latest cloud technology. Will also be expected to perform small, simple GIS analyses on their own.

     

    **Salary:** $45,000 to $55,000 (DOE) with Incentive Opportunities Available Quarterly!

    Duties and responsibilities/Essential functions:

    + Complete small, simple GIS projects in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner

    + Utilize data blending software for the purpose of data preparation, cleansing, and purging.

    + Publish maps and data to the cloud for performing spatial correction on various feature sets.

    + Create online dashboards and web applications to assist with online analyses.

    + Collecting data in the field using advanced mobile web applications.

    + Order data for projects.

    + Communicate with vendors, customers, and colleagues via phone calls, emails and in person.

    + Use Microsoft, ESRI, and other company software products.

    Qualifications:

    + Education: Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, or related field

    + Specialized knowledge: GIS Software, General computer knowledge, networking, and geographic knowledge

    + Experience: Prefer at least 1 year of GIS experience
